Video games are awesome, but what if they happened in real life?
Inspired by the new Adam Sandler movie, Pixels, which is released this summer, we thought we’d have a look at the idea of video games in real life. The Pixels movie, is based around the idea that aliens attack the earth using arcade characters such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, and Sandler and his crew of gaming experts must save the world. Not sure how good the film will be, but surely it can’t be as bad as Grown Ups 2!
Let’s start with the video that possibly gave Sandler the idea for his film, french comedian Remi Gaillard’s Pac-Man stunt. This is a bit of a classic (it’s got over 50 million views on YouTube!) and it’s great fun to watch Pac-Man not only try to avoid the ghosts but security guards and the police!
My bet is that you’ve all tried Fruit Ninja at some point, but have you every seen it in real life? Well watch this “ninja” do surprisingly well at slicing his way through a whole variety of fruits being thrown his way, also the music and voice-over make it a bit epic!
All gamers have played Mario Kart at some point in their lives, and we’ve all thought how cool it would be in real life. Well these guys actually tried to do it. They obviously spent a lot of time and effort to build their “karts” however the outcome isn’t quite as good as you’d hope.
Who hasn’t played one of the popular Assassin’s Creed games and wished they had the skills to jump across roof tops and climb up buildings like spiderman? Well you could. As long as you’re good at “Parkour” (the art of free running), oh and of course do it while wearing a costume. This looks really cool, but please don’t try this kind of thing unless you’ve had some training! (I’m not taking responsibility for any grazed knees or split trousers!)
